Lauren Nelsen is a practicing artist living and working in Menomonie, WI. Lauren works mainly with oil paint, pastel, and watercolor, and explores the themes of brokenness, flaws, and transformation. She seeks to discover the beauty and complexity of everyday forms and details around her, interpreting them in such a way as to find connection to a larger meaning, sometimes being deeper spiritual ideas. Lauren received her BFA in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin- Stout.
